On the 14th of November, 2024, we ran a murder mystery that we wrote ourselves in a coffee shop in Dalry.
There’s been a murder. In a coffee shop (which definitely isn’t haunted in any way).
Due to extensive budget cuts, there are no detectives available to investigate this particular crime, and so instead we’re rounded up the coffee shop regulars (you!) and tasked them with finding out who did it, why they did it, and how they did it…
You’ll need to check the scene for clues, examine crucial documents, and work together with your fellow regulars to decide which of you is the guilty party.
This murder mystery lasted around ninety minutes, and was a conversation-based game with a few puzzles and escape-room elements.

Everyone correctly identified the murderer in the end. And once they’d been apprehended, we took the murder victim out for a drink to celebrate.
It was a lot of fun, and we’re looking forward to putting together another murder mystery in the future!
